Sex positivity is about embodying this inclusive and emancipatory view of sex, of different bodies, of sexuality and all its diversity. It recognises the potentially life-giving aspects of human sexuality and highlights it as something that can be valued and celebrated, thus giving people permission to examine their own sexuality.

It is important to note that sex positivity does not assume that all people should enjoy or be interested in sex. Moreover, sex positivity does not make moral judgments about whether people are interested in or enjoy sex. Rather, it allows all individuals to consider their sexuality and encourages discussion of a wide range of issues related to it.
